The Loyal Orange Institution of Scotland condemns todays comments made at Holyrood and continued attacks by John Mason MSP on our Institution, our right to peaceful assembly, and our long-held commitment to civil and religious liberty.
We welcome the First Minister’s comments recognising the rights of all citizens to peaceful and respectful assembly, and to freedom of expression and values that are fundamental to a fair and democratic Scotland.
The Loyal Orange Institution of Scotland as a vulnerable group, condemns any act of hate, intimidation, or violence towards any community within our nation. We remain committed to promoting understanding, respect, education and dialogue among everyone.
We extend an open invitation to John Mason to meet with us to discuss these matters directly. We have already outlined a constructive plan to engage with key stakeholders across faith groups and communities, we look forward to the opportunity to meet and discuss this initiative with the First Minister in due course.
Bro. Andrew Murray
Most Worthy Grand Master
Grand Orange Lodge of Scotland

I would not give this blatantly bigoted man the time of day, I would urge the Grand Lodge not to give this apologies of an MSP, any meeting.
