Scottish and Northern Irish Unionist Leaders Gather to Strengthen Cross-Union Relationships

The Grand Orange Lodge of Scotland is pleased to be part of a significant Summit taking place in Edinburgh on Thursday, 17th September, bringing together political and civic leaders from Northern Ireland and Scotland to celebrate our shared heritage and explore opportunities for closer cooperation between our nations.

Chaired by businesswoman Dr. Marie Macklin CBE, the "Shared Heritage, Shared Future" Summit will welcome Phillip Brett MLA and a delegation from the Democratic Unionist Party to Edinburgh for what promises to be an important gathering of unionist voices across the Irish Sea. The event reflects a timely moment for those committed to the United Kingdom to come together, share ideas, and reaffirm the bonds that connect us.

This gathering comes at a time when unionist voices across the UK need to be heard clearly and confidently. The Orange Institution has always believed in the power of dialogue, in building understanding between our communities, and in celebrating the deep historical and cultural connections that bind Scotland and Northern Ireland together. This Summit embodies those principles - bringing people together to listen, to learn, and to strengthen the relationships that

matter.
