Statement from the Grand Master of the Loyal Orange Institution of Scotland
Dear Sisters and Brethren,
As we approach the annual celebrations commemorating the 334th Battle of the Boyne, I extend my heartfelt wishes for a safe and enjoyable occasion to all members of the Loyal Orange Institution of Scotland. This historic event holds a special place in our hearts, symbolising the triumph of freedom and the enduring spirit of our Protestant community.
The Boyne celebrations are a time for us to come together in fellowship, reflecting on our shared heritage and values. As we gather in unity, let us remember the significance of this victory and the principles it upholds—liberty, civil and religious freedoms, and loyalty to the Crown.
In these times, it is crucial to conduct our celebrations with dignity and respect, ensuring the safety and well-being of all participants. Let us be mindful of our actions, demonstrating the exemplary conduct that our Institution stands for.
I encourage each of you to partake in the festivities with joy and pride, cherishing the bonds that tie us together. May we continue to uphold the noble traditions of the Loyal Orange Institution, honouring our past while looking forward to a prosperous future.
Wishing you all a memorable and uplifting Boyne celebrations across Scotland.
May God bless you and the Loyal Orange Institution of Scotland.
