Easter Monday – The Living Christ

The story did not end at the empty tomb. It continued, not in theory, but in real encounters, real conversations, and real change.
Peter, who had once denied, now stood face to face with the risen Christ. Three times he was asked: “Lovest thou me?” (John 21:17). Three times he answered. Three times he was given purpose again. Failure had not disqualified him. He was restored.
Thomas, who had doubted, was invited to see and believe. “Be not faithless but believing” (John 20:27). Doubt was not ignored, it was answered.
Others walked along the road, uncertain and discouraged, until Christ came alongside them and made Himself known. And then, before His ascension, He gave the commission: “Go ye therefore, and teach all nations, baptizing them in the name of the Father, and of the Son, and of the Holy Ghost: teaching them to observe all things whatsoever I have commanded you: and, lo, I am with you always, even unto the end of the world.” (Matthew 28:19–20).
The frightened followers of the garden would soon become bold witnesses. Not because they had changed, but because they had seen the risen Lord.
Easter does not end in reflection; it moves into action. The risen Christ calls His people to live differently:
With faith – trusting in what has been accomplished
With hope – grounded in the living Christ
With purpose – carrying the message forward
We are not simply observers of the story. We are part of what follows.
From the garden to the cross, From the cross to the tomb, From the tomb to the risen Lord, This is the story of Easter. A story of surrender, sacrifice, silence, and victory. And because He lives, it is a story that continues, in faith, in hope, and in the lives of those who follow Him.
